Ogbono originated and were first grown in Southern Nigeria. It is used in preparing the delicious ogbono soup and other soups in Gabon, Cameroon, and Guinea. It also has medicinal values for diabetic patients because it is able to control blood sugar. Ogbono is also embedded with properties that are good for loosing weight. It reduces the body cholesterol therefore promoting heart health, and great pain relief because it contains some analgesic properties.
