Honeycomb shaki is a meat produced by the reticulum of a ruminant, the second stomach. This meat is preferred for more delicate meals or those where holding sauces effectively is important.

Shaki has no taste on its own and the texture is chewy and will soften after you cook them. Shaki is commonly used in stews, salads, soups, and stir-fries. This Shaki tripe is a great source of protein, vitamin B12, selenium, calcium, zinc, phosphorus, iron, magnesium.

It is a type of edible meat that results from the slaughtering process, particularly for ruminants. Shaki requires thorough preparation in order to become palatable for consumption.

Preparation 
Open and search for the shaki in your order box. Rub the Shaki tripe with rock salt (both front and back)
Use a sharp knife to scrape the Shaki tripe all over (front and back) to get rid of any impurities.
You may need a little brush (like toothbrush) to brush through the honeycomb tripe (Shaki)
 
 
Use white vinegar to rinse off the salt on the Shaki or any impurities
Vinegar can also help to disinfect meat, though not as tough as chlorine bleach, but it’s pretty effective.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Put about 1 tsp of salt. Add the Shaki tripe and boil it for 15 minutes
The honeycomb tripe (Shaki) is now ready to be used in any main menu or recipe that calls for it.
